    key issues

The outdoor space is a lovely place to unwind after a day of exploring Pictou.

The room keys were difficult to use as they barely fit the locks, making access to our room a hassle.

Even the updated rooms could benefit from a thorough cleaning!!! The strange fishy smell in the unit is off-putting, and the dated fixtures need a revamp. It’s also surprising how unkempt the kitchen supplies were!!!

    kind owners

Just a suitable option for a rapid stop in Pictou with best value for money ratio. The owners were super kind and let us use a kitchen in a vacant cabin for free to cook lobster we bought nearby. Make sure to check for any maintenance issues in your room right away.

    convenient location
    clean room
    musty smell
    outdated furnishings
    ongoing renovations

The location provides great access to local amenities like Sobeys and Tim Hortons, making it convenient for travelers. The cleanliness of the room added to the comfort of the stay—even with some outdated furnishings. However, the ongoing renovations and occasional musty smell in the unit were less than ideal. Overall, a decent spot for a short stay, especially with friendly staff eager to help.

    comfortable room
    convenient location
    free wi-fi
    dated decor
    limited on-site dining

Had a great stay at The Lionstone Inn! The Budget Double Room was comfortable with two double beds and a kitchenette that included a fridge and cook-top. The location is super convenient, close to grocery stores and restaurants, making it easy to grab supplies for meals during our two-week visit. Free Wi-Fi was another plus, and the staff made sure our needs were met.

The decor was a bit dated.

I stayed in the Deluxe Double Room for one night. The decor felt like stepping back to the '60s, which was pretty cool. The beds were super comfortable, and I loved having options with one firm and one soft. The room was clean, which is always a plus. Just a heads up, it's clear they're still renovating, but I appreciate the effort.

We had a lovely stay in a cozy Budget Double Room that was perfect for our family, especially with the kitchen setup and the comfy beds. The garden area was a nice spot to unwind and the outdoor seating made for a pleasant evening. Although we noticed the towels were a bit worn out, we still felt right at home during our visit. 😊
